Award-winning actor Danny Trejo to speak at UW-Madison tonight

Award-winning actor and entrepreneur Danny Trejo will speak in Shannon Hall at the UW Memorial Union tonight at 7 p.m.

“Reshaping Destiny: An Evening With Danny Trejo is part of a lecture series hosted by the Wisconsin Union Directorate that will feature a 60-minute moderated discussion with the actor, followed by a 30-minute question-and-answer session involving the audience.

Known for his work in films such as “Machete,” “Heat” and “Sky Kids,” Trejo’s acting career spans over 40 years. The actor has also appeared in iconic TV series such as “Baywatch,” “Breaking Bad” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” and has been a voice actor in films including “Storks” and “The Book of Life.”

Trejo will be speaking on his battle with addiction and changing his destiny from prison to a philanthropic purpose; his work with food and development of his business “Trejos Taco’s” and “Trejo’s Coffee and Donuts;” and his work in films and TV and how he used them to reshape his destiny.
