The Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County will make single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccines available free of charge at its Madison-area locations over the next three Saturdays.

Appointments can be made at https://www.bgcdc.org/covidvaccine.

“In the first 20 minutes of launching our registration page 124 people have registered for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at the Boys & Girls Clubs,” BGCDC CEO Michael Johnson said in a message Monday. “I would like to see 1,500 people registered by Friday.”

Johnson said he particularly hopes people of color take advantage of the opportunity, as people of color are underrepresented among those being vaccinated so far.

Vaccines will be available according to the following schedule:

  • Saturday, April 10: McKenzie Family Center, Sun Prairie
  • Saturday April 17: Taft Street Center, Madison
  • Saturday, April 24: Allied Family Center, Madison
