Briarpatch Youth Services CEO Gloria Reyes has resigned “to explore new leadership opportunities,” the organization announced in a press release Wednesday. Her resignation will take effect July 29.
In a message to Madison365, Reyes declined to say where she’s going next, but said an announcement would come “when the time is right.”
Board of Directors Chair Kate Reilly, said in the release that although Reyes’ tenure with the organization was short, “she has made a positive impact in promoting a more diverse workforce, planning a memorable 50th Anniversary celebration, drafting a 5-year strategic plan, and growing Briarpatch’s visibility in the community.”
“I believe Gloria is committed to youth in this community and will continue to be a champion of the great work that Briarpatch does every day,” Reilly said in a statement.
Program Director Jay Kiefer will serve as Interim Executive Director to assure a smooth transition, according to the release.
