The Goodman Community Center is a few days away from serving the largest number of area families that it has ever served for its 31st annual Thanksgiving Basket Drive – almost 4,000 families – but they still need a little help.

Registration for the holiday meal basket closed last week with over 3,900 Dane County families who need help managing the traditional Thanksgiving feast. The grand total of registrations eclipses 23,000 Dane County residents of which more than 10,000 are children. Baskets will be distributed Saturday, November 23 through Monday, November 25.

According to a recent Facebook post, the Goodman Community Center has a list of things that they still need (below) so they can distribute thousands of Thanksgiving baskets to families in need. The baskets are filled with everything one needs to make a delicious Thanksgiving meal.

Goodman Community Center says that they will secure the dinner rolls, milk, butter, eggs, onions, potatoes, carrots, pumpkin pie, and ice cream and also add them to the baskets.

Bring your food donations to the gym (149 Waubesa St. in Madison) today through Monday. Want Goodman to do the shopping? No problem! Make a gift now at goodmancenter.org/donate-tbaskets
