We are pleased to announce that Dr. Sabrina Robins will host a panel titled “Upskilling the Workforce” at noon on Tuesday, June 28 at the Women’s Leadership Summit.
The second annual Summit will take place June 20 – July 1, with one session at noon each day streamed on Facebook Live. It is free and open to the public.
Dr. Sabrina Robins is Chief Operating Officer of Abaxent, a 100% African American woman-owned technology company. As COO, Robins provides leadership and strategic direction to guide the company’s development and enhance the delivery of high-quality technology, manufacturing, and construction solutions. As a business leader and staunch supporter of minority-owned businesses, she is also a believer that corporations should serve to improve the communities in which they do business through the lending of technical assistance for community social development and contribute to local workforce development initiatives. Additionally, Dr. Robins is a passionate moderator, community activist, award-winning inclusion advocate, thought-leader, and researcher.
Dr. Robins’ areas of expertise include applied statistics, research methods and design, diversity and inclusion curriculum design, vendor management, operations excellence, supplier diversity, workforce diversity/inclusion, labor and employment trends.
Dr. Robins earned her Ph.D. from Wayne State University in American Government and specialized in social science statistics, research methods, and design. Moreover, she earned her B.S. at Eastern Michigan University with a double major in Political Science and History.
Dr. Robins is married and has a teenage daughter. Dr. Robins is a long-time active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
