End Time Ministries International, in partnership with Families Back to the Table Inc., gave away more than 400 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in the Madison area during the annual End Time Back-to-School Giveaway and Mini-Carnival on Saturday, Aug. 15.
Bishop Dr. Godfrey Stubbs of End Time Ministries International and Lisa Burrell, director of Families Back to the Table, said the event drew on their shared commitment to serving the community.
“As a church and community organization, we feel called to serve. This event was our way of helping families prepare for the school year amidst challenging times,” Stubbs told Madison365. “It was truly rewarding to see the smiles on children’s faces and the relief among parents as we provided this much-needed support.”
Along with distributing school supplies, organizers served young people hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, popcorn, nachos and cheese, cupcakes, soda and juice. The event also featured family-friendly entertainment, character performers, a DJ, a bouncy castle, a waterslide, and a dunk tank, creating a festive atmosphere for everyone in attendance.
“We want to thank everybody for their support — it really means a lot,” Stubbs said. “We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who came together to make this year’s back-to-school event so special. Seeing people travel from Beloit, Janesville, Milwaukee, and beyond was truly heartwarming. It’s a great reminder of the positive impact we can have when our communities come together.”

Stubbs adds that looking ahead, he and Burrell are committed to supporting their neighbors. “We are preparing for more upcoming initiatives, including distributing Thanksgiving baskets and holiday toys and winter coats to families in need,” Stubbs said. “Donations of school supplies, non-perishable food items, toys, or warm clothing are always appreciated.
