Lisa Leslie, one of the greatest players in WNBA history, will reportedly be the first female athlete honored with a statue outside of Staples Center.
According to Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Sparks and Anschutz Entertainment Group are still working out the specific date but have agreed that Leslie, the three-time WNBA MVP and eight-time All-Star, will be the 11th statue outside of the famous building.
Currently, statutes outside of the Staples Center include stars like Magic Johnson, Jerry West, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O’Neal, Elgin Baylor and Wayne Gretzky
