Lori ‘Mama Carey’ Bernina Mann Carey’s Homegoing and Celebration of Life will take place Wednesday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m. online.
Due to restrictions in place for COVID, the in-person services are limited to immediate family. We invite you to celebrate Lori by joining the Livestream service on Mt. Zion Baptist Church’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
We also would like you to join us after the entombment, at about 12:30 pm for a parade through the southside of Madison to honor Lori or, as many lovingly call her, “Mama Carey.”
The route will begin at Penn Park, 2101 Fisher Street. We will begin heading north on Fisher St. toward Dane St.
• Turn right onto Bram St and continue under the viaduct
• Turn right onto Koster St.
• Turn right onto Sundstrom St.
• Turn left on Nygard St (pass family home at
107!)
• Turn left on Rusk Ave.
• Turn left on Koster St.
• Turn left on Sunstrom
• Turn left on Nygard one last time!
