Madison Black History Walking Tour Supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County will take place Saturday, July 9, 9-11 a.m.
The 1-mile walking tour will be led by the Wisconsin Historical Society’s Tanika Apaloo and will visit sites of historical significance on a downtown walk to Capitol Square. The tour starts at 649 E. Dayton St. Highlights include the sites of Madison’s first Black-owned grocery and hotel; and the site of the future Vel Philips statue.
This event benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County.
