Madison Chamber of Commerce policy chief David Aguayo to moderate panel on the future of cultural identity at 365 Leadership Summit

David Aguayo, the Head of Advocacy and Public Policy at the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce, will lead a panel titled “Future of Cultural Identity: Evolving Perspectives Among Younger Generations” on October 28 at the 365 Leadership Summit presented by UW Credit Union.

The seventh annual summit will take place November 6 and 7 and include more than 20 panel discussion on a wide range of topics, as well as the largest-ever 365 Leadership Community Choice Awards. Registration is open now at this link.

David currently serves as the Head of Advocacy and Public Policy at the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce, where he oversees legislative activities, manages economic and social policy development, and liaises with elected officials, partner organizations, and community members. In addition to this role, he is the Principal of AGUAYO, LLC, a political consulting firm founded in 2020 to advise candidates—particularly candidates of color—on political campaigns. Through this firm, David has successfully organized high-profile events with leaders like Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Senator Tammy Baldwin, and Governor Tony Evers.

Prior to these roles, David served as the Wisconsin State Director – Latino Coalitions for the Biden for President campaign, where he led outreach efforts that contributed to record Latino voter turnout in Wisconsin. His experience also includes key positions at the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, and the Federal Trade Commission.

In addition to his professional roles, David is actively involved in the community, serving on boards and committees such as the United Way of Dane County’s Public Policy Committee, Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center Board of Directors, and One City Schools Board of Directors. He has been recognized for his leadership and commitment to improving community engagement and development.

David is fully fluent in Spanish, politically savvy, and known for his interpersonal communication skills and ability to foster relationships with elected officials and stakeholders at all levels of government.
