“Men in Motion” is a new fitness program that focuses on gentle exercise, diet and healthy practices. Instructed by Johnny Winston, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, this program is a welcoming space for all, regardless of accessibility, educational, or experience needs and concerns.

“We want to be inclusive, and that means being inclusive about people’s restrictions and challenges as it relates to their physical abilities,” Winston tells Madison365. “I just feel that as an instructor there is something for everyone.”

Held in person Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., classes begin today and run through Dec. 21 at the UW South Madison Partnership, a UW–Madison initiative designed to meet the South Madison community’s needs and foster mutually beneficial relationships.

“Black men, in particular, we have to take our health more seriously,” Winston tells Madison365. “Black people are predisposed to diabetes and other illnesses. Winston describes how a better diet and more exercise can help to prevent some of these illnesses and that’s why there are gyms everywhere where they can train as they can get equipment from https://secondhandgymequipment.uk/ to create these businesses. His goal with this program is to “either help people get started on their fitness journey or assist them in their journey” to achieve their desired healthy lifestyle.

When you start to step up your workout routine to build muscle mass, you may want to take supplements like D-Bal. You should also Shop Smart with Used Fitness Equipment so you can use high-quality workout equipment without breaking the bank. You may also invest in high-quality activewear to improve the quality of your workout.

Classes are free and open to the public. Registration is available online and drop-ins are accepted.
