Another “No Kings” rally will be held all around the country this weekend, with over 3,000 events planned.

The rally marks the third official “No Kings” rally as more and more events and people have turned up. The first rally saw around 2,100 events and over five million in attendance; the second, in October 2025, saw over 2,700 and more than seven million nationwide. It lacks any real demand, but has the same focus in each — calling out Trump’s abuse of power, circumventing the rule of law.

New to this rally will be a focus on the war in Iran and the continued proliferation of ICE’s actions following the multiple killings by ICE agents in Minnesota this past winter.

“Since the last time we marched, this administration has dragged us deeper into war: sending brave American service members into harm’s way and leaving their families to carry the weight of that loss,” said Naveed Shah, Political Director of Common Defense, in a press release. “At home, we’ve watched citizens killed in the streets by militarized forces. We’ve seen families torn apart and immigrant communities targeted. All of it done in the name of one man trying to rule like a king. But we know who we are. We fought for a democracy. And in this country, we say it loud: no kings here.”

“No Kings” will also highlight the subversion of the Constitution from the Trump Administration as the United States will celebrate its 250th anniversary this coming July, a press release from ACLU stated.

Rallies have been a time when local residents voice their grievances about the current administration.

In Madison365’s previous coverage of earlier “No Kings” rallies, attendees took issue with things like the targeting of marginalized groups, children being arrested by ICE agents, skirting the rule of law and the deployment of troops on American soil.

Hearing the woes of residents across Wisconsin at No King’s inspired Huma Ahsan, candidate for Dane County Circuit Court Branch 1, to run for the position.

She spoke at the rally and realized many like-minded residents wanted to see a change. Ahsan decided that she had to do more from that experience.

“No Kings” will be held Saturday, March 28, starting at 12:30 p.m. at Brittingham Park, 829 W. Washington Ave. Attendees will march to the Wisconsin State Capitol for a continued rally planned for 2 p.m.
