The deadline has been extended one week to submit a nomination for the City/County 2024 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Awards, which are presented annually to the person or persons who have demonstrated leadership and volunteerism while making significant contributions in the areas of promoting peace, understanding, and improving communication and cooperation between diverse populations in Dane County. 
The new deadline for submission is Friday, Nov. 17, 4:30 p.m.
Members of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award Commission will independently rank the nominees. Results will be compared and award recipients will be chosen collectively by Commission members.
Recipients of these prestigious community awards will be celebrated at the City-County Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration on Monday, Jan. 15.
