The state of Wisconsin reported just over 3,800 new coronavirus tests on Monday, the lowest in several weeks, of which 750 were positive, for a positive test rate of about 19.6 percent. The seven-day average of new cases per day has fallen to 1,321.

The state of Wisconsin also reported one COVID death on Monday, increasing the total death toll to 5,897. Since March, an additional 190 people have tested positive for COVID but died of other causes. The seven-day average of reported deaths fell to 28.3.

The seven-day positive rate for all people tested, which would be less subject day to day fluctuations in testing, fell slightly from 19.6 to 19.5 percent, while the positive rate for all tests rose slightly from 5.2 to 5.4 percent.

The state also reported Thursday that 101,551 Wisconsin residents have completed the COVID-19 vaccination series, just 332 more since yesterday. In all, 543,302 vaccine doses have been administered, more than about 6,700 since yesterday.

The estimated number of active cases — diagnosed in the past 30 days — fell slightly to just under 18,300, about 3.37 percent of the 543,166 total cases confirmed in Wisconsin.
