The Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County will distribute American Girl Dolls and other Mattel/Fisher Price products on Thursday and Friday from 9-5pm at the Club Administrative Office at 1818 W. Beltline Highway, CEO Michael Johnson announced today.
He announced earlier this week that American Girl had donated $60,000 worth of toys and accessories. Alliance Trailer Services donated the trailer and driver to move all the toys, and Metcalfe Markets provided forklifts.
This is how it will work:
1. The Boys and Girls Clubs will ask for general donations to support building a new dental clinic inside the Allied Drive Club.
2. Once you make a general donation (at the event) you will receive a color coded ticket(s).
3. Once you receive a ticket(s) you will be directed to an area and can grab one or multiple items based on the donation given.
On Saturday, the remaining items will be distributed to American Family Children’s Hospital, Madison 365’s Back to School Events, One City Learning Centers, Peace Network, Allied Drive Neighborhood Associations, Boys & Girls Clubs of Baraboo and others.
Brats and beverages will also be available for sale and the proceeds from food sales will benefit a summer camp program for about 1,000 kids.
