“Writing About Race: Points of Entry and Points of Contention” will take place Sunday, April 10, 1-2:30 p.m. at Union South, 1308 W. Dayton St.
Jennifer Morales, author of Meet Me Halfway, a collection of interconnected short stories about life in hyper-segregated Milwaukee, will conduct a workshop on issues that arise when tackling the difficult topic of race in our writing. Jennifer will provide an overview of common challenges and insights for addressing them, and participants will engage in a brief writing exercise on race.
Writers of all skill levels and genres are welcome to participate.
