The Madison365 12U girls basketball team convincingly won its first tournament of 2024, outscoring two opponents a combined 53-13 on Friday in Stoughton.
The team opened the Gatorade Main Event with a 26-5 win over McFarland and sealed the deal with a 25-8 win over Verona.
“For the first games of our season I was happy with our defensive intensity,” said head coach Henry Sanders, also publisher of Madison365. “We have some things we need to continue work on. However, the biggest win for us is the girls had fun playing together.”
Alyse Winzer led the way for 365 with 18 points and 10 rebounds over the two games. Molly Murphy added 14 points and another 10 rebounds.

Next up, the girls head back to the Sports Enhancement Academy in Stoughton for the Friday Night Main Event Finals on March 1.
