MADISON, Wis. – Madison police are responding to reports of shots fired and a possible injured person on Raymond Road.
Dane County dispatch confirmed to News 3 calls came in around 6:45 p.m. for reports of shots fired on Raymond Road at Westbrook Lane.
Officials with Madison police said shots were fired at a vehicle in the area of Westbrook Lane and Raymond Road. The car was abandoned and people fled the area.
Officials said they had not found anyone with injuries as of 7:30 p.m.
The incident comes amid intense debate among City officials and community leaders over the community’s response to gun violence.
