“This is really our night out … it’s a women’s night out. A great night of sisterhood,” says Pastor Shelia Stubbs of End Time Ministries. “Women are running this program and it will be inspirational and fun. It’s a night of networking and engagement and building new relationships. Sometimes women just need that support system and we will have it there.”

End Time Ministries International and First Lady Pastor Shelia Stubbs are getting set to host the church’s 3rd annual Women of Excellence: Ladies Night Out Conference on Saturday, July 29, at 5 p.m. The theme of the event is “Women of God on the Front Line” and will feature Apostle Vanessa Glinton from Nassau, Bahamas as guest speaker and recording artist Evangelist Nellene Crystal Arnett from Detroit as the psalmist.

Stubbs is the founder of Women of Excellence (WOE), the women’s ministry at End Time Ministries on Madison’s West Side.

“We are passionate about encouraging and equipping women of all ages, backgrounds and stories to live the life you were created for,” Stubbs tells Madison365. “As you develop a deeper relationship with Jesus, we believe you will fulfill His purposes in ways that may be beyond your imagination.”

The event is being described by End Time Ministries as an “Ambush Conference.”

“An ‘Ambush Conference,’ from a Christian view, is to take back what was stolen from us,” Stubbs explains. “For example, many women have been ambushed in their mind and in their relationships and family by the evils that are taught to us. So from a positive view, we are going to teach women how to overcome those by putting on their armor to fight the good fight of faith.”

Stubbs cites Ephesians 6:10-18 which says, “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

Apostle Vanessa Glinton

“Given the description in Ephesians 6:10-18 of the spiritual battle raging around us, this conference will provide the women with what they can do to prepare for the moral ambushes upon them from the enemy and avoid becoming a spiritual casualty. It’s about really analyzing ourselves and thinking about how we make sure we get back what was taken of us.”

During past events, the Women of Excellence of End Time Ministries has invited women from all over the country to attend its events.

“So we have had women who attended from Minnesota, Illinois, Mississippi, Georgia and New York,” Stubbs says. “We are looking forward to an amazing event this weekend. We’re going to have networking and vending so ladies are able to come and purchase things whether it be jewelry or clothes.”

Vending and networking starts at 5 p.m. and the program starts at 6 p.m. The attire for the conference is camouflage.

“I know everyone is familiar with camouflage. It is something that hunters wear to hide themselves from the quarry they are seeking. Camouflage lets you blend into the background so it is much harder for man or beast to tell that you are there,” Stubbs explains. “We want all women to blend it. The end result is for the women to trade their camouflage for their spiritual armor.”

The following morning, all of the women are invited to wear white at End Time Ministries where Stubbs, as the host pastor, will be the speaker at the 10 a.m. mass.

The cost for the event is $20 which Stubbs says will feature heavy hors d’ oeuvres.

“The proceeds all go towards increasing our visibility with women and bringing in different speakers,” Stubbs says. “For example, were are going to be focused on bringing in women who want to be entrepreneurs. Our women’s ministry brings in invited guests that deal with financial services or housing and many different components. Sometimes we talk about death and about having a will or we talk about insurance and we will have people who come in who can speak to this group.

“It’s very beneficial to women and it’s about building up women in all aspects of life,” she adds.

The “Ladies Night Out” Conference will be held on Saturday, July 29, 6 p.m. at End Time Ministries International, 15 Ellis Potter Court. Doors open at 5 p.m. for vendors and networking. For tickets, click here.
