Madison365 earned a gold award and two silvers at the 2022 Gridiron Awards from the Milwaukee Press Club.

365 Media Executive Editor Robert Chappell’s feature on the long-term effects of the pandemic on the nonprofit sector earned the top prize in the Hard News Feature category.

That story was one installment of the Lasting Impacts series, which earned a Silver award in the Explanatory Story or Series category.

Madison365 Editor in Chief A. David Dahmer garnered a silver award in the Investigative Story or Series category for his coverage of Lilada Gee’s mural being defaced at Madison Museum of Contemporary Art and the museum’s inadequate response.

“With the Lasting Impacts series and coverage of Lilada Gee’s experience at MMoCA, we took on important issues from our unique perspective,” said Henry Sanders, CEO of 365 Media and publisher of Madison365. “I’m proud of our team and grateful to the Milwaukee Press Club for recognizing independent local journalism.”
